Easy to Use, Engaging, Excellent! Date: September 16, 2009
Pros: Effective, Engaging, Grade Level Appropriate, variety among specimens, easy to use

I purchased this frog dissection kit to use with a group of 4th-7th grade students with learning and emotional disabilities. With the young age of the students and the special needs, I could have set myself up for disaster, but this kit was easy to use and fun and educational for everyone! The guide was helpful, the tools were effective without being dangerous, and the specimens were in great shape. The students especially enjoyed when we would find a female full of eggs!

I ordered one frog for every two students - and they were eager to share! One tip for teachers - I dissected my own specimen and broadcast it to the students using the document camera and had an aide in the room as well to help. It was so useful to allow the students to see what I was doing for their first dissection!

This product is excellent, but a bit pricey. Everything was included, but by the time I ordered 10 of these kits I was broke!

Great product though!
